VisionNav Robotics Demos Automated Industrial Forklift

March 31, 2022
VisionNav Robotics, which develops industrial automated vehicles, demonstrated its automated industrial vehicle forklift to help drive intralogistics automation with intelligent technology. The company was exhibiting at this week’s MODEX 2022 event in Atlanta.
At the event, VisionNav demonstrated applications for its VNP15 counterbalanced automated forklift in a stacking scenario of multi-layer material frames, in addition to the material handling operation of its SLIM series forklifts in a dense, narrow aisle scenario.
“Many companies talked to us about the shortage of forklift operators and the possibility of introducing automated forklift operations affected by the epidemic,” said Robert Tang, head of U.S. sales at VisionNav. “Our products have plenty of experience based on a large number of applications in complex scenarios and have unique advantages in terms of efficiency, flexibility, and storage capacity.” The multi-layer frame stacking application was launched by VisionNav for irregular parts storage, which can currently deal with stacking scenarios of up to seven layers.
Based on the company’s control algorithm and perception technology, the VPN15 and SLIM series can adaptively fork pallets and material frames for horizontal and vertical operations. “We have also developed a variety of clamps to meet the material handling demand of customers in different industries, from simple pallets to bales, paper rolls, machinery, and cables,” said Tang.
The company was founded in 2016, and aims to provide AGV and AMR solutions for intralogistics by integrating 5G communication, artificial intelligence, environmental perception, deep learning and servo control technology. The company has developed eight series of products, including auto forklifts and tractors, for different scenarios.
