China’s YouiBot Raises $47.1M for Mobile Robot Expansion

Shenzhen, China-based YouiBot, which develops industrial mobile robots, has announced it completed two rounds of Series B financing, with an accumulated amount exceeding $47.1 million (RMB 300M). The company said it will focus on precision electronic manufacturing and energy by means of its core strengths in scenarios, algorithms, software/hardware and large-scale development, as well as expanding its scenario experience into new markets and quicken the pace of overseas market expansion.

The company is rooted in industrial logistics, intelligent routine inspection and operation and maintenance, specializing in production and operation scenarios of precision electronic manufacturing and the energy industry. The company said it has partnered with several domestic brands, including LUXSHARE ICT, ASM, CRRC, FAST, China Huaneng, AICC, COMAC and Hitachi, with products being exported to more than 30 countries, including Japan, Korea, Singapore, Spain, and Germany.

YouiBot added it has taken scenario development and service as its first objective, relying on the support of autonomous mobile robot (AMR) positioning navigation algorithm. This has allowed its robots to have positioning accuracy of +/- 2 mm. The company’s software/hardware integrated solution not only meets the flexible production requirement of enterprises, but also realizes digital production and information management to achieve objectives of intelligent upgrading and transformation.

The company’s systems can work in whole plant logistics planning, large-scale cluster deployment and multi-machine coordination, in addition to large-scale production. The company said its integrated solutions have been widely applied in semiconductor, 3C, and electric power production.

The financing round came mainly from FG Venture and Xicheng Jinrui, followed by the investments of IDG, Pine Venture, SIG, BlueRun Venture, SoftBank and HAX. Earlier investments came from ZhenFund, C&I Capital, INNO, BOLE and XJTU 1896.
