AgileX Robotics Launches New Unmanned Ground Vehicle

November 11, 2021
China-based AgileX Robotics recently launched the Bunker Pro, a tracked-type unmanned ground vehicle (AGV) that boasts high off-road mobility and IP67 protection. The robot platform is designed to expand robotics application for challenging terrain, including soft soil, steep grades, puddles, and box culverts, allowing roboticists to deploy applications such as inspections, exploration, ordnance disposal, video shooting, and unmanned transportation.
The company said the Bunker Pro has a high-level ingress protection design on its overall structure, materials and external electrical components, which meets the IP67 requirements against sand, dust and water. The vehicle also includes integrated advanced suspension systems and reinforced shock absorbers to tackle tough and damp terrains. The system has a very low center of gravity, equipped with a 1500W dual-motor drive that can cross obstacles with a height up to 18 cm, and a climbing capability of 30 degrees.
With multiple accessible hardware CAN interfaces and a load capacity up to 120 kg, along with preloaded ROS nodes, the Bunker Pro can be equipped with various inspection and mapping equipment, including sensor lidar, cameras, IMUs, IPCs, and more autonomous systems. It supports advanced open-source architecture such as ROS packages, Autoware, and more, AgileX Robotics said. In addition, the company provides open-source SDKs and ROS_PACKAGE and comprehensive user manuals for developers.
A powerful onboard battery supports up to three hours of continuous operation, and can supply power to external devices to provide extra insurance for the robot to carry out different tasks.
