Audience Raises $10M to Further Develop Handwriting Robots

Audience, which develops a robot-powered marketing platform, has announced raising $10 million in Series A funding, led by Next Coast Ventures. The new capital will allow the company to fast-track itsd platform for direct mail marketing for businesses and professionals.

The Audience platform allows businesses and individuals to send personalized messages “written” by a robot that can better generate leads and boost return on marketing investment by up to 380%, Audience said. 

The new funding brings the total raised for Audience to $12.8 million since its 2019 founding. Headquartered in Miami, the new capital will help improve its customer relationship management functionality, create a more robust user platform across new verticals, and new robot optimization and app abilities with unique add-ons.

“Audience combines robotic handwritten notes with a powerful targeting database and digital-marketing follow-up,” said Jessie Stein, CEO and founder of Audience. “This unique combination helps companies close more deals, form deeper bonds with prospects and customers and remove friction from the follow-up process.”

The company said important notes from clients and business prospects are often lost in countless daily messages and physical mailboxes, so breaking through in meaningful and authentic ways has posed challenges for many marketers. The Audience robots can write letters at scale with consistent penmanship and work with unique software to measure ROI, keep track of notes sent, configure campaigns and automatically personalize each note. The system includes prebuilt templates and unlimited personalization, which gartners a 90% read rate and six times the response of standard direct mail, Audience said. In real estate, companies such as Keller Williams, Sotheby’s and Dogulas Elliman are using Audience to engage prospects, close deals and retain customers.

Audience said it is also gaining traction in the insurance industry, where brokers and agents often compete for the same clients, and need a better solution than email, cold-calling and social media.
