Veo Robotics Adds New Partners to Integrator Program

September 24, 2021
Veo Robotics, which develops systems to improve the safety and flexibility of industrial robots, has announced adding two more systems integrators to its Certified Systems Integrator Program. ABCO Automation and PDSI are the latest members of the program to help companies integrate Veo’s FreeMove system, a 3D safeguarding system that implements dynamic speed and separation monitoring to enable safe and effective human-robot collaboration.
ABCO Automation, located in North Carolina, specializes in custom design-build services, fully automated turnkey systems, and build-to-print projects. The company has been in business for more than 40 years, and services a client base across North America and the world. PDSI, located in Ohio, supplies automated solutions in the design and build of custom equipment, including assembly, welding, and test equipment, as well as integrated robot systems.
The companies will offer Veo’s FreeMove as part of its solution offerings to customers. Veo will provide training and support to PDSI and ABCO to effectively design greater collaborative robotic applications with improved productivity, safety, and flexibility. The new companies join Calvary Robotics, which joined the program in February, and Factory Automation Systems, which joined in April after the company announced the safety-certified version of FreeMove.
Veo’s FreeMove is an advanced safety system for industrial workcells with human-robot collaboration. It monitors workcells in 3D, implementing speed and separation monitoring as defined by ISO 10218-2:2011 and ISO/TS 15066:2016, enabling safe interaction between humans and robots. The system includes sensors (wide field of view, long-range 3D time-of-flight) with dual imagers, the FreeMove Engine (a high-performance industrial computer with dual motherboards checked by a safety processor), and FreeMove Studio, a browser-based application that runs on a standard PC for configuration of the system.
