Moorebot Launches Mobile Robot for Consumers

Moorebot, which makes robot applications such as the Hubble HUGO Baby Cam and the ZEUS fighting robot, has announced the new Scout E robot aimed at kids, adults for use in homes and businesses.
Built with a high-definition, 1080p video camera, microphone and speakers, the Scout E can move and explore under beds, tables and chairs. The system supports a secure peer-to-peer connection which lets users access the robot remotely from anywhere in the world.
The Scout E can also record and create short videos, even in the dark with its night vision ability. The video can then be transmitted live (or recorded) to a user’s smartphone or laptop. The built-in speaker can also talk with pets and other people. The robot is able to recognize individuals, pets and then follow them around. A videoconferencing mode lets users communicate with friends and family anywhere in the world via the web.
The robot can be set up as a monitoring system for homes and offices, where it patrols locations 24/7. The patrol function can be triggered by a time, by sounds or other sensors attached to a smart network. It includes motion detection features and can store images and videos on the cloud. After a patrol, the robot can return back to its charging station.
Moorebot said the Scout E will cost $199, and will be available in Q2 2023. For more details, visit the Moorebot website here.
