Roidmi Launches Robot Vacuum That Also Sterilizes Waste

July 23, 2021
Shenzhen, China-based Roidmi has launched a new robotic vacuum cleaner with automatic dust collection and sterilization functions.
With its dust spousal station, the Eve Plus vacuum can store 30 to 60 days of waste, but that also makes it vulnerable to microbes. To fix this, Roidmi added a built-in “deodorizing particle generator” that starts after each automatic disposal. The company said the deodorizer wipes out 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, parasites and other “smelly matter” with HEPA filters and active oxygen technology often found in medical equipment sterilization.
“The deodorizing particles invade these microbes and destroy them from inside out or oxidize the enzymes they live upon, bet it common parasites (such as mites), or bacteria (like Escherichia coli, Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus),” said Roidmi. “These active oxygen particles can also oxidize chemicals, such as ammonia, formaldehyde, benzene and TVOC.”
The Eve Plus includes a 379mm short rear disposal duct, 900-watt motor and 23,000pa suction, along with a 3L disposal bag. An LED touch screen shows users the dust disposal and sterilization process, reminding users to change the bag once it’s full. The robot also includes an LDS 4.0 laser navigation system, built-in smart mapping system, and an app that lets users create customized cleaning plans. The vacuum is also compatible with Mi Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The battery can run up to 250 minutes on a full charge, the company added.
