What is it? IDS cameras can be found in automotive, packaging, printing, and robotics industries, as well as in medical technology, traffic monitoring, security, kiosk systems, and logistics contexts. The global shutter CMOS sensor IMX273 in the Sony Pregius series offers high image quality, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. With a resolution of 1.58 MPix (1456 x 1088 pxl) at 3.45 µm pixels, it delivers 230 fps when used with the USB3 Vision industrial camera U3-3041LE VU AF Rev.1.2.
The cameras are designed for cost-sensitive and demanding machine vision applications such as surface inspections, detailed image analysis in medical technology and traffic applications. Applications include machine vision, metrology, surface inspection, logistics, sports and motion analysis (e.g. golf swings, cycling), autonomous vehicles, palletizing tasks, sorting tasks or in test object inspection.
The U3-3041LE VU AF Rev.1.2 is available in both monochrome and color variants, and special functions such as long-duration exposure extend the range of possible applications. It can be used in low light scenarios or when imaging fast-moving objects; users can adjust the focus via software. The board-level versions are available with vertical (-VU) or horizontal orientation of the USB Type-C connector.
