Taiwan’s Cincoze, which develops embedded computers, has announced the high-performance DV-1000 rugged series to its DIAMOND product line. The DV-1000 includes a compact chassis and flexible expansion options, designed for industrial applications with limited installation space, such as smart manufacturing, machine vision, and railway computing.
The DV-1000 has a footprint equivalent to a sheet of A4 paper, measuring 224 mm by 162 mm by 64 mm, and is power by a 9/8th Gen Intel Core i7/i5/i3 CPU (Coffee Lake-R S series) that supports up to 128 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz memory. Storage options include 1x 2.5 SATA HDD/SSD tray, 2x mSATA slots, and 1x M.2 Key M 2280 slot for a high-speed NVMe SSD.
I/O interfaces are designed for industrial applications, including two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, two COM ports, three USB 3.2 ports, and three USB 2.0 ports to connect peripheral devices for networking, equipment monitoring, and barcode scanners, Cincoze said. A DisplayPort interface provides modern connections to display, and VGA port for legacy support for older displays. Additional interfaces include a SIM card slot, AT/ATX switch, and IGN setting switch. A CMI module also provides options to add another DisplayPort, HDMI port, two COM ports or one digital I/O.
The DV-1000 includes industrial-grade components and chassis that shuttles heat to the exterior, enabling wide temperature ranges from -40 to 70 degrees C. Voltage inputs range from 9 to 48 VDC, and the DV-1000 passes MIL-STD-810G for shock and vibration resistance. It also received the EN 50155 (EN 50121-3-2 only) railway certification, making it useful for smart manufacturing and high-performance edge computing applications.
