Techman Robot Launches New AI-based Cobot Series

Techman Robot TM AI Cobot Series

November 15, 2022

Taiwan-based Techman Robot has announced its TM AI Cobot series, a collaborative robot that combines a robot arm with native artificial intelligence inference engine and smart vision system. The all-in-one system is aimed to be deployed in factories looking to accelerate the transition to Industry 4.0.

The TM AI Cobot is designed to be “smart, simple and safe,” Techman Robot said. By combining visual processing in the robot arm, the robot can perform fast and precise pick-and-place, palletizing, welding, semiconductor and product manufacturing, AOI inspections and food service tasks, the company said. This is accelerated through the AI-Vision technology.

The robotic arm also includes a comprehensive AI software suite, which includes the TM AI+ Training Server, TM AI+ AOI Edge, TM Image Manager and TM3DVisionTM, which allows companies to train and tailor their system to meet their application needs, Techman Robot said.

“Techman Robot has redefined the future of industry robotics with the introduction of its AI Cobot series that are equipped with a native AI engine, powerful and precise robotic arm and vision system that represents a perfect combination of ‘brain, hands and eyes’,” said Shi-chi Ho, president of Techman Robot. “With our all-in-one integrated system and supporting software suite, we lead the industry with ease of integration, accelerating productivity while reinforcing quality, and opening new opportunities.”

The company demonstrated a model of the AI Cobot series with the capability to handle up to 25 kg payloads at the Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robot Show 2022. This model will be available at a future date, the company said.
